Bedroom. A king bed (180x200cm) with fresh linens, plus towels for the beach or hot springs. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the garden, with reading chairs to watch the clouds drift by. Kitchen. A full-size fridge & freezer, a DeLonghi espresso machine, electric stovetop, microwave & toaster, plus all the cookware and dishes you need. Pull up a stool at the breakfast bar and watch the garden while you eat. Bathroom. A light-filled bathroom with a bidet & a rainfall shower, plenty of room to spread out after a day exploring. Neighborhood
The village has two cafés and still runs on farming, you'll often see locals tending their fields, and people are easy to talk to. You're 5 minutes from local restaurants, 10 minutes from a beach, a natural ocean pool, and the Gorreana Tea Plantation, 20 minutes from the thermal baths in Furnas and Ribeira Grande, and 30 minutes from downtown Ponta Delgada.

To get around São Miguel, renting a car is the best way to see the sights. A bus connects Ponta Delgada, Furnas, and Ribeira Grande, but public transportation on the island isn't very reliable.
